COUNSELING MINISTRY
It is our goal to provide biblically-based, Spirit-anointed compassionate counseling which can discern the needs of the heart and usher in the grace of God to meet those needs. Christian counseling is distinct from secular counseling. We see the Bible as the source of all truth. The Bible has a lot of practical wisdom about human nature, marriage and family, human suffering, and so much more.By using biblical concepts in counseling, we instruct people in the way they should go and also hold them accountable. Psalm 119:24 says, "Your statutes are my delight; they are my counselors." Our strategy is to help people substitute biblical truth for error as they go about their day-to-day lives. The truth, when known, believed, and obeyed, sets people free. When people are set free, they are fulfilling their true calling. "Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free" (John 8:32).

COUNSELING TEAM
- Craig Hathway is one of the Elders of GCF Wharton. He is the team leader for our counseling team, and the main contact person for any counseling needs.
- Susan Groce is a cell leader at GCF Wharton. She is the primary counselor for women.
- Michael Limas is an associate pastor at GCF Wharton. He conducts our marriage counseling and pre-marital counseling.
- Becky Limas is the Youth Pastor at GCF Wharton. She is the primary counselor for our youth.
